Before you install or upgrade, verify the compatibility of your Automation Anywhere Control Room and Enterprise Client versions.

Note:
  • Task Bots created in earlier releases are compatible with this release.
  • Task Bots and MetaBots created/saved in this release do not work if the product is downgraded to earlier versions. For example: Task Bots created in the Automation Anywhere 11.3 do not work in Automation Anywhere 10 LTS. because the 11.x obfuscation algorithm is enhanced from 10.x.
  • MetaBots created in earlier versions are compatible with this version.
  • For IQ Bot Version 6.0 or later to Control Room Version 11.3 or later compatibility, see the IQ Bot documentation.

Control Room – IQ Bot Compatibility Matrix

Create or update cluster.properties file

Based on the compatibility information in the table, update your cluster.properties file for the listed parameters.

  1. Locate the file in your Control Room directory (for example, C:\Program Files\Automation Anywhere\Enterprise\config\).

    If the file does not exist in your Control Room directory:

    1. Create a file with the filename cluster.properties.
    2. Add the property options to the file as mentioned in the Notes column of the table.
  2. Save the cluster.properties file.
  3. Restart the following services:
    1. Automation Anywhere Control Room Caching
    2. Automation Anywhere Control Room Messaging
    3. Automation Anywhere Control Room Service
