Configure Amazon Q Business to register Automation Anywhere as a data accessor for your selected Amazon Q index. This includes setting a trusted token issuer and granting access to the appropriate users and data sources. With this setup, Automation Co-Pilot can securely query content from the Amazon Q index.

Procedure

  1. Log in to your Amazon Q Business account in AWS.
  2. Navigate to Applications > Name of your Q index > Data Accessors.
  3. Select Automation Anywhere.
  4. Provide an External ID in the following format, %TenantDNS%-cloud-automationanywhere-digital.
    You can find your tenant ID by opening your Control Room in a browser and checking the URL. Your cloud URL will be in the format, https://<tenantdns>.cloud.automationanywhere.digital. Copy the URL (excluding “https://”) and replace the dots in the URL with hyphens to obtain your tenant ID.
  5. Create a new trusted token issuer.
    1. Provide a name such as AutomationAnywhere-TTI.
    2. Under Map Attributes, set the values as:
      • Identity provider attribute: Email
      • IAM identity center attribute: Email
    3. Click Create trusted token issuer.
  6. In the Accessor Name field, you can choose to update the accessor name from its default value or simply use the default as provided.
  7. Select Allow access to all data sources and All users with application access or choose more granular data sources and users groups for access control.
  8. Add the Automation Anywhere admin user who will be enabling the Amazon Q index as a user in the Amazon Q Business app.
  9. Make sure the Amazon Q app has some data connected and is not completely empty or the connection will fail.
  10. Complete by selecting Add data accessor.
