Create process configurations in Automation Anywhere for Salesforce

Configure an automated process in Salesforce, powered by Automation Co-Pilot for Business Users (Automation Co-Pilot).

Prerequisites

Access to processes relies on Automation Co-Pilot roles and permissions. The process configurations wizard filters options based on the roles and permissions assigned in the user's Automation Co-Pilot instance. For example, more processes will appear for an AAE_Robotic Interface Admin than for an AAE_Robotic Interface Manager. Ensure that you have access in Automation Co-Pilot to the process that you intend to configure in Automation Anywhere for Salesforce.

Create a new configuration by using the process configurations wizard, including the following:
  • Process Selection
  • Object Selection and Field Mapping

Procedure

To start configuring a process, select a predefined connection and a process from your Automation Co-Pilot instance and assign the process to a team.

  1. From Automation Anywhere for Salesforce, navigate to Process Configurations > New > Process Selection.
The Activate check box is selected, by default.
  2. Enter a Name.
  3. Choose a Connection.
  4. Select a process.
Note: The processes accessible to you are dependent on your role and permissions assigned in Automation Co-Pilot.
  5. Enter the Team that will be using this process.

Only users who are members of selected teams will see the process in the Automation Launcher.

  6. Optional: Select the Process Start Options check box to add a confirmation step before starting a process.
  7. Click Next.

Configure Object Selection and Field Mapping for the process. Map the process to any standard or custom Salesforce Object. The record page for the selected object displays the process for execution. The selected object type also determines what data can be provided as input to the process.

  1. Select an object.
    ObjectDescription
None You can launch the process from the Home Page, App Page, or Record Page.
Any Salesforce Object The process will be launched from the Record Page of the selected object.
Tip: We recommend selecting None for a generic process and a specific object for specialized processes.
  2. Click Add Mapping.
Automation Co-Pilot form fields are input variables that you map to Salesforce data fields using the mapping type to select whether the data is an SF Field or a static value using the Input Field. As the process is run, the data is passed to the mapped fields.
  3. Make a selection for the Automation Launcher.
This selection determines the page type where the Automation Launcher makes the process configuration accessible.
    OptionDescription
Home Page The Automation Launcher displays the process configuration on the Lightning Apps Home Page.
App Page The Automation Launcher displays the process configuration on the App Page.
Record Page The process configuration will be displayed on the Record Page of the selected object.
  4. Optional: Add a visibility filter. For more information, see Visibility Filter in Automation Anywhere for Salesforce.
  5. Click Save.
