Generate a Control Room registration key to install the Bot Agent on multiple devices in bulk using an installation script or group policy.

Before you begin

Ensure the following:

You have the Control Room administrator role.
Automations are ready to deploy on target devices after the key is generated.

About this task

Generate and copy the key for use in an installation script or as part of the Active Directory group policy to install the Bot Agent on multiple devices without requiring individual logins.

Procedure

Navigate to Administration > Settings.
In the Bot agent bulk install option, click Edit.
Generate a registration key to use for bulk installation screen appears:
Note: If you have not created a registration key, the Generate a new key option is selected by default.
Click Save changes to generate a new registration key.
A Control Room registration key is generated.

Note: A generic Control Room registration key is valid for 10 years.
Click Copy to clipboard before using the registration key in the installation script.
If you have an existing Control Room registration key that you want to replace:
- In the Bot agent bulk install option, click the Edit.
  The Keep current key option is selected by default.
- Select the Generate a new key option.
  
  Note: Before you generate a Control Room key, keep in mind that a new key invalidates the previous Control Room registration key. Any entries or references to the previous Control Room registration key must be replaced with the new key value. Therefore, we recommend that you generate a new Control Room registration key only if the previous key is compromised.
- Click Save changes.
From the Bot agent installer file field, click one of the following options to download the installer file based on your platform:
- Windows installer file
  The Bot Agent AutomationAnywhereBotAgent.msi file is downloaded to your default Downloads folder. See Windows installer.
  Note: For On-Premises Control Rooms, the AutomationAnywhereBotAgent.msi file is also available from the <application filepath>\crui\asset folder: For example C:\Program Files\Automation Anywhere\Automation360\crui\asset folder.
- macOS installer file
  The Bot Agent automationAnywhereBotAgent.pkg file is downloaded to your default folder. For example, /Library/Application Support/AutomationAnywhere/BotAgent.
