As a Control Room user with device pool management privileges or as a
device pool owner, you can edit device pool details to customize your automation
requirements.
Before you begin
- You must have Device pool owner, Device pool
admin, or a custom role containing the
Administer ALL device pools permission to edit a device
pool.
- Users without AAE_Admin role must have the following
permissions to edit a device pool:
Note: Automation 360 supports custom role creation by allowing all
permissions to be non-default and editable. However, for releases before version
v30, system-created roles such as,
AAE_Admin are mandatory.
For more information, see
System-created roles.
- View and manage ALL device(s) to add or delete the
devices
- View Users and Roles basic information to add or delete
the owners and consumers
- To add a device in the device pool, you must install it as a
system-wide device (Bot Agent).
- You can only add a device with the same platform into the
corresponding device pool. For example, if you have created a macOS
based device pool, you can only add macOS based devices into this
pool.
- After you add the device, you cannot add the same device to another
device pool.

- Round robin: Runs your automations at equal time
intervals in the Time slice field. For more information,
see Round robin.
Note: WLM can only process one queue at a time when a
device pool is shared.
For example, if a device pool is shared between two
queues in round-robin mode (time-slice 60 minutes), then for the first 60
minutes, first queue (Q1) will be processed while the second queue (Q2) will
not be processed (even if there are available resources). Then for the next
60 minutes, Q2 will be processed and Q1 will remain idle. For more
information about time slice setting, see A360 | WLM | Queries regarding the time slice settings
in the Device pool (A-People login required).
-
Priority as shown in table: Runs your automations
based on a priority defined in the priority table.
