Before you begin

  • These tasks are performed by a user who has a Bot Creator or Citizen Developer license.
  • The user must have View my bots permission.
  • The user must have Check in and Check out permission on the folders of where the template resides.
  • The user must add any custom AI Skill templates before they can use them to build an AI Skill.
  • Setting: Administration > Settings > AI Data Management > Data logging settings must be enabled. The Automation Admin can enable this setting for the Pro Developer

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Control Room.
  2. Create a new AI Skill from templates.
    1. Do one of the following:

      via Automation

      • On the left navigation panel, click Automation.
      • Click the + Create > From template.
      • In the Create from template screen, click the AI Skill tab.
      • Locate and click your desired template.
      • Click Continue. The Create AI Skill from template screen appears. You can also click the View template icon to open template and view it.

      via Skills

      • On the left navigation panel, click Skills.
      • Click the Templates tab.
      • Locate and click your desired template. The template details will open.
      • Click Create AI Skill from template. The Create AI Skill from template screen appears.
    2. Search for a specific template in one of the following ways: filter the AI Skill template by name or description, or select the template.
      Note: On the Create from template screen, the pre-built templates from Automation Anywhere are displayed with the Automation Anywhere logo, name, and description. The name and description help developers understand the business context provided in an AI Skill template in a summarized way and quickly locate the templates to build AI Skills.
    3. In the Create AI Skill from template screen, enter the AI Skill name and an optional description.
    4. Accept the default folder location: \Bots\. To change the default automation storage location, click Choose and follow the prompts.
    5. Click Create and edit.
    After entering the AI Skill details, the AI Skill is displayed and you can start editing.
  3. If required modify the AI Skill and adjust it to your use case.
  4. Click Save.
