Switch Manifest V3 to Manifest V2 extension manually in Enterprise 11

You can manually switch the from Manifest V3 extension to the Manifest V2 extension while remaining on Enterprise 11 Version 11.3.5.8.

Procedure

  1. Disable the Manifest V3 extension from the browser extension options.
    See Manage multiple browser profiles for Manifest V3 extension in Enterprise 11.
  2. Enable the Manifest V2 extension from the browser extension options.
    See Manage multiple browser profiles for Manifest V3 extension in Enterprise 11.
  3. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Automation Anywhere\Enterprise\Client.
  4. Edit the browser .json file:
    1. Open the AAChromeAgentManifest.jsonfile.
    2. Replace the Manifest V3 extension ID acldkfpmppkpobpbggjbpffmgjngjehk with the Manifest V2 extension ID akaagfbdekcffpppnbajieljleihifdc.
    3. Change the version from 3.0.0.0 to 12.1.0.0.
    4. Save the changes.
    5. Restart the browser and AAE Client for update the extension changes.
