Log in to Automation Anywhere for Google Workspace

Log in to the Control Room from Google G Suite Sheets using the Automation Anywhere Automation Anywhere for Google Workspace add-on.

Prerequisites

Complete these steps:

To run and manage bots from Google G Suite Sheets, using the Automation Anywhere for Google Workspace add-on:

  • Establish a connection to the Automation Anywhere Control Room.
  • Log in to the Google G Suite Sheets app using your Gmail user login credentials.

    The add-on supports only form-based authentication. AD and SSO authentication is not supported.

Note: You cannot use the same login account to log in to more than one Automation Anywhere for Google Workspace component or application at the same time. You have to toggle between the Control Room and the Google G Suite Sheets app. Log in to one, then log out, and log in to the other.

Procedure

  1. From your supported browser, go to Google.com and select the Google G Suite Sheets app.
  2. Open your Google G Suite Sheets file.
    Select Apps > Sheets and open a new or existing spreadsheet.
  3. From your open spreadsheet, select Add-ons > RPA Bots for G Suite > Launch.
    The Automation Anywhere for Automation Anywhere for Google Workspace panel appears.
  4. Enter the Control Room URL in the Control Room URL field. For example: https://product.example.com
  5. Enter your Automation Anywhere Bot Runner username and password.
  6. Optional: Click Remember Me to save your password within Google G Suite.
    Note: Running a bot requires that you log in every time. Even if you save your password, you must still click Login to run a bot.
  7. Click Login.
    The following message appears: Login was successful.
