Optical Character Recognition

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is the process in which printed characters in an image are identified using photoelectric devices and accompanying software. The software then creates an editable document. OCR is leveraged by industries where most of the documents are scanned for processing and ease of storage, for example, health sciences or insurance.
