Configure scheduler user for Automation Co-Pilot
To help deploy automation, you can configure a dedicated user as a scheduler user. A scheduler user can be a global scheduler or a per-process scheduler that allocates the Control Room resources (devices and unattended Bot Runners) for Automation Co-Pilot.
To assist running routine automation, a process or bot can be configured to be run by a scheduler user at a set time. This can be combined with devices in a device pool to improve deployment efficiency.
Update cycles for scheduling
When a scheduler user or device pool is modified, it can take
up to ten minutes for the system to use updated configurations in process orchestration.
To work around this cycle, users can manually overwrite the cache with new edits to
manually update scheduler user configurations.
- In the Control Room, go to .
- From your selected process, click .
Note: Without this update, users can wait up to ten minutes before
running automation with the modified user.
Establishing a scheduler user
Requires both the following procedures.
- In the Control Room, the Admin must create a designated custom
role with a user assigned to that role.Note: The role that you assign to the scheduler user cannot be shared with any other user (such as Bot Runner or an Admin user).
- In Automation Co-Pilot configure the bot or process to be run by the scheduler user.
Complete these steps before attempting to deploy automation using the scheduler user in Automation Co-Pilot.
